ભારતમાં શાળા શિક્ષણની ગુણવત્તામાં ઘટાડો અને ભવિષ્યની ચિંતાઓ અંગે અનેક સંશોધનો અને અહેવાલો ઉપલબ્ધ છે. ખાસ કરીને, યુનિફાઇડ ડિસ્ટ્રિક્ટ ઇન્ફોર્મેશન સિસ્ટમ ફોર એજ્યુકેશન (UDISE+) અને વાર્ષિક શિક્ષણ સ્થિતિ અહેવાલ (ASER) જેવા સત્તાવાર અને સ્વતંત્ર સર્વેક્ષણો આ સ્થિતિ પર પ્રકાશ પાડે છે.
શાળા શિક્ષણમાં ઘટાડો દર્શાવતા મુખ્ય પુરાવાઓ:
નબળા શીખવાના પરિણામો

નબળી ગુણવત્તાવાળા શિક્ષકો
નેશનલ સેમ્પલ સર્વે ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશન (NSSO)ના એક અહેવાલ મુજબ, ભારતમાં એક તૃતીયાંશ શિક્ષકો પાસે જરૂરી લાયકાત નથી. પૂરતા પ્રશિક્ષણના અભાવે આ શિક્ષકો વિદ્યાર્થીઓને યોગ્ય શિક્ષણ આપી શકતા નથી.
